Sustainability Approach
The concept of sustainability is generally defined as meeting our own needs without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. It is important to recognize that resources are limited. The long-term consequences of the way resources are used must also be judiciously evaluated. In a shorter definition, it can be defined as the existence of people in harmony with nature and the environment in which they live, reducing as much as possible the negative traces they leave on the earth.
The concept of sustainability has become the indispensable principle of our designs. In the projects we carry out, we attach great importance to not harming nature. Both nature and human health are our most important criteria.
Elaborating the concepts of recycling, zero waste and renewability,
Recycling is the recycling of waste generated in the development of production related to various processes and needs. Using waste as a raw material to save energy is recovery.
Zero Waste is the establishment of an effective collection system aimed at preventing waste, using resources more efficiently, and reducing waste generation.
Renewability is what is obtained from sources that come from nature without harming nature and that can be easily renewed. Renewable energy, on the other hand, means that no compromises are made to future generations in meeting energy needs.
Our team acts as a catalyst, finding ways to drive sustainable design processes and pave the way. Our team develops sustainability strategies for projects in collaboration with other design teams. Our approach is holistic, we work to drive innovation and ensure that each project achieves the highest possible performance standards.
We believe that our projects that address climate change should also consider the health of communities. This has been the main theme of our work to date. We work closely with our clients when developing design solutions that are optimized for our world.
Within the framework of sustainability in the projects we have prepared as Çizimhane:
We use solar panels for electricity and hot water production.
For lighting we use natural light and individual lighting.
We try to use materials that are zero-waste and recyclable.
We try to use materials that are produced with relatively low energy consumption.
We emphasize the use of local materials.
While we benefit from natural ventilation for heating and cooling, we also provide the fresh air necessary for human health.
We care about water resources, and treat and reuse wastewater and rainwater and recommend equipment with photocells or timers to reduce water consumption.
We value thermal, water and sound insulation.
We understand the long-term importance of using non-combustible materials.
We want landscaping to use plants that require less irrigation.
We offer proposals for the production of economical, robust and esthetic buildings.
